Saddle Trial Terms & Conditions

Trials are only available to the UK mainland at this time.

We recommend the use of a qualified saddle fitter to check your saddle for fit.

To find a qualified saddle fitter in your area please visit the Society Of Master Saddlers website here.

Secondhand saddles:

Saddles must be bought and paid for through the website to start a trial.

Delivery is paid for by the customer at a cost of £20

Saddles are dispatched within 2 working days and are sent next day delivery. If you would like the saddle delivered for a specific day to maybe accommodate a saddle fitting appointment, please let us know at the checkout process.

The 5 day trial starts on the day you receive your saddle (trial includes weekends and public holidays).

If the saddle is not suitable, please notify us as soon as possible so we can expect the return.

Saddles must be returned in the original box and packaged exactly as you received it.

The saddle must be back with us by day 6 otherwise a late penalty of £10 per day will be charged.

Saddles not returned by day 10 will be deemed as sold and you will be unable to return for a refund (your statutory rights are not affected).

On return of the saddle customers will receive a refund for the value of the saddle, less a £10 restocking fee, if it is in the same condition as it was when sent. Damages must be paid for. If a saddle needs cleaning or has lost its tags there will be an extra £5 charge.

Your refund will be processed within 3 days but please allow extra time for the refund to show in your account. This varies between accounts.

Delivery charges will not be refunded. The customer is responsible for delivery cost both ways. Please make sure adequate insurance is taken with the courier as losses and damage in transit will be the responsibility of the customer.

The saddle may be ridden in (for brand new saddles – see below) whilst it is on your care but please note, any damage will result in a deduction from your refund. PLEASE DO NOT RIDE IN JEANS! This causes damage to the stitching on the skirt of the saddle.

No flocking or width adjustments can be made to the saddle unless you are definitely going to keep it. Gullet bars can be changed very carefully by a qualified saddle fitter, but must be changed back if the saddle is to be returned.

Saddles may be collected and dropped off to save on delivery costs but please contact us beforehand in order to arrange this. They will still need full payment before collection and will be subject to our £10 restocking fee.

New Saddles:

As above, BUT new saddles must be returned in ‘as new’ condition. They may be tried on and sat in but any marks from girths or stirrup leathers may result in a deduction from your refund as we will no longer be able to resell them as new. If you want to attach stirrup leathers we suggest they are placed underneath the flap.
